Tyler Martin

Co-Founder, Navy Veteran, & Cybersecurity Expert

Tyler is the founder of Techspace, a leading IT service provider based in Jacksonville, Florida. A seasoned cybersecurity professional with over a decade of experience, Tyler specializes in delivering business-specific security solutions across diverse industries, including healthcare, fintech, and hospitality. His extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise have enabled businesses to safeguard their digital assets and navigate the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats.

Tyler's journey into the cybersecurity field began after serving in the United States Navy. Since being stationed at Naval Air Station Jax in 2005, he made Jacksonville his home and has since established himself as a key figure in the local tech community. Drawing from his military background, Tyler brings a unique perspective to cybersecurity, blending discipline, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to every project he undertakes.

Outside of technology, Tyler enjoys spending his free time playing golf and cherishing moments with his wife and twins. His leadership at Techspace is not only shaped by his professional expertise but also by his core values of integrity, empathy, and a passion for continuous learning.

Tyler is a proud Navy veteran who remains committed to service, both through his work and his ongoing support of the Jacksonville community.

Josh Merrill

Co-Founder & IT Expert

With over 20 years in IT, Josh has built his career on making technology simpler, smarter, and more human-centered. Before co-founding Techspace, he served as IT Director at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, where he led critical infrastructure projects, modernized IT operations, and helped keep public radio stations running smoothly. His expertise spans network security, automation, cloud solutions, and IT strategy, helping businesses optimize and secure their technology without the headache.

But beyond the technical side, Josh’s real passion is people. He believes that great technology starts with understanding what businesses actually need, not just what looks good on paper. His approach is rooted in transparency, trust, and problem-solving, ensuring that every solution is designed to support real people—not just systems.

Outside of work, Josh is a husband, father, and all-around fixer of things. He and his wife, Catherine, are raising their two daughters while sharing a love for travel, storytelling, and creative projects. When he’s not solving IT challenges, you’ll find him tackling DIY home projects, testing out new tech, or spending time with their pets—including their dog, Hazel, and three cats, Binx, Karma, and Luna.
